The City of Oak Hill Police Department is currently a twelve member department consisting of the Chief of Police, 2 lieutenants, 3 sergeants, 2 corporals and 3 patrol officers. Oak Hill is the largest city in Fayette County and as a result the Oak Hill Police Department is the largest and only municipal law enforcement agency governed by civil service in Fayette County.
The department has officers on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. The officers respond on an average to nearly 8,000 calls per year and pride themselves in their ability to handle every type of situation which comes their way. This ability can be attributed to the state of the art equipment and frequent quality training afforded them from the safety conscious leadership of the City.
